Forest Gardening~Workshop
Sunday April 22~ 10am-1pm
Cost $15.
post workshop 1-2pm open for plant purchasing and individual consultation ~ come with your site questions!
outdoor workshop:
-Brief intro
-Design discussion: concept, site analysis, plant selection, planning and phasing, installation, maintenance,etc...
-Hands-on:~ soil preparation/ composting, tree and shrub planting (actual phase one garden installation)
-Bare root woody plants will be our workshop planting stock and there will be extras available to buy!
Selection includes:~~native american plum, hazelbert, elderberry, bush cherry, red&black currant, juneberry, blueberry, lingonberry
-resources and other Permaculture info. also available
~Please register ahead if possible.
Bring:~ Pitchfork, hats &~clothing layers, notebook, sketch of your site?...
Some snacks will be here; bring some if you'd like.
Where:~~Nearwood Forest (our home) at ~990 Samsonville Rd~ Kerhonkson NY Ulster County
-approx. 7 mi. north on Samsonville rd (also county rt.3) from Rt. 209 in Kerhonkson
-just south of Ashokan Reservoir if coming from Rt.28
