The deputies patrol the local area and focus on crime prevention. Patrol personnel answer calls for service, investigate motor vehicle accidents, prevent and detect crime, protect life and property and apprehend offenders.

Fire
Fire and Emergency Rescue Services are provided by The Accord Fire District, an all Volunteer Fire Department. Between the three fire companies, located in Accord, Alligerville and Samsonville, over 50 dedicated volunteer firefighter members and 20 auxiliary personnel cover Rochester's 88 square miles 24/7 to respond to fire emergencies, vehicle accidents, and to provide mutual aid to neighboring fire and emergency services, as needed.
The Fire District has four fire pumpers, two water tankers, one 75' aerial ladder, two four-wheel drive pumpers, a rescue van and Jaws of Life extraction equipment. Trained teams handle many emergencies and have direct access to specialized high-tech emergency and rescue teams from Ulster County and New York State.
The District Office is located in the Accord Fire House on Main Street in Accord. The Board of Fire Commissioners consists of five members serving five-year terms. Elections are held on the second Tuesday of each December for one commissioner. Any registered voter is eligible to vote in this election.
The Board meets at 7:30 pm on the third Wednesday of each month. Meetings are open to the public. Tony Spano serves as Town Board liaison to the Fire Department.
