Kids are cooking for the Senior Pancake Breakfast
Tuesday, June 27
Kids from the newly established “Youth Planning Board” are cooking a pancake breakfast to show their appreciation to the Rochester Seniors for all they do all year long.
Breakfast starts at 10 AM. Please signup if you are planning on attending 626-2115.
Great Escape
Wednesday, July 5 Signup and payment are due Wednesday, June 21. All Tickets are $25. Bus leaves Town Hall at 7:30 AM and returns 7:30 PM. Pack a lunch, although you cannot bring it in the park, you can bring coolers on the bus.
Summer Program Starts July 10
It’s time to join the other kids and have some summer fun at the Town of Rochester Summer Program here at the community center. Signup NOW and enjoy one week, or all six weeks. The program runs July 10 - August 17, 2006, Monday-Thursday, 10 AM—1:00 PM. A $25 per week fee will be charged to cover supply costs and trips. Weeks 1,2,3 must be paid by Wednesday, June 28, and payments for weeks 4,5, 6 are due by Wednesday, July 19.
Trips planned: Norwegian Wood Farm for Pony Rides, Skate Time 209 Roller Rink, Kelder’s Farm, Kinderland Park, Children’s Day Cruise and more! Entertainment lineup: Magic Show, Music with Andrew, a Wildlife handler and explorer, and so much more. Children need to bring one plain white tee shirt in their size.

Friday, August 4th Lower Hudson Valley Challenger Learning Center. Ages 10 and up.$25 per person, with a maximum of 20 children Reserve your seat by June 30 for the August 4, virtual Moon Mission. You are an astronaut and your mission will take place in the year 2015, where you’ll be returning to the Moon to stay. You will help find a landing spot, establish a self-sustaining settlement for future explorations.
You will be working together as a crew to accomplish the tasks necessary for a successful landing, and solve emergencies that will pop up during the mission. Mission is at the Lower Hudson Valley Challenger Learning Center. Call Community Center at 626-2115. to register. Bus leaves Town Hall 9:00 AM, and returns to Town Hall approximately 3:30 PM.
Children’s Day Cruise Friday, August 11, Tickets are $10 for children, adults $15. Bus leaves Center at 10:15 AM, and returns at 2:30 PM. The Cruise has an interactive DJ, who gets kids dancing, playing games, and into contests, plus kids will be treated to a wonderful magic show. Send a snack and drink for the bus. No food or drinks can be brought on the ship, but can be purchased aboard. Signup NOW: 626-2115. Payment due by July 14.
Zoom Flume Water Park Wednesday, August 23. All tickets: $22. Trip recommended for ages 11 and up. Bus leaves Town Hall at 9:00 AM and returns 6:00 PM. Bring a picnic lunch, snacks, and drinks to leave in coolers on the bus. Signup NOW! Payment due by July 20.
Thanks go out to Lolly Chase for giving kids from the after-school program quilting lessons. The beautiful quilts will be auctioned off in the future as a fundraiser for the proposed Olympic pools. Ashley Craig, our after-school coordinator did the artwork for the aquatic quilt. Look for pictures of the kids and quilts in our next flyer.
Bronx Zoo Trip
Wednesday, August 30. All Tickets are $16. Bus leaves Town Hall 7:30 AM and returns 7:30 PM. Bring picnic lunch, snacks, and drinks in backpacks. Call NOW. Payment due by July 31.

Little Ones Learning Center
Starting June 6, the Little Ones Learning Center will be open three days a week – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday and 10:00 AM - Noon. This valuable community resource is dedicated to promoting early literacy and book lending for your children and their families in The Rondout Valley area. Please support them.
