Giant community Yard Sale at Kelder’s Farm
Giant Yard Sale at Kelder’s Farm Saturday, April 29, 2006, 10 am – 4 pm (Rain date: Sunday, April 30.) Spring has sprung, so clean out your closets and empty out the garage, then bring it all to Kelder’s Farm for a giant community yard sale. It’s going to be a great day! Refreshments will be available, the Greenhouse will be open, and of course there are the animals to see and pet.
Vendor booth space is 10' x 10' at  $15 per space, plus Chris and Jackie are generously donating their booth rental proceeds to the Youth Department. Call 626-7137 for details and/or to reserve your space. You can email them at: info@kelderfarm.com.
Southern Ulster Vikings Football Saturday, May 6. Signup for Southern Ulster Vikings Football: Saturday, May 6, 2 PM – 4 PM at Accord Town Hall. For more information call Mike or Sue Smith at: 626-5610.
Consumer Fraud and Identity Theft Seminar Tuesday, May 9 at the Center. Mark Hoops from the New York State Attorney Generals office will offer updated information on how to protect ourselves and loved ones from becoming victims. Enjoy a contintental breakfast sponsored by Rochester Senior Group. A $2.00 donation is requested to help offset the cost of the breakfast. Please call to register: 626-2115
Quilting With Lolly
Monday, May 15. Learn the art of quilting with Lolly Chase. Make your own quilt. $40 fee will be charged for the six-week course, materials are extra. First class is an Introduction and a Materials List class on Monday, May 15, at 6:30. Actual Classes start on May 22, and run six consecutive Mondays from 6:30 – 8:00 PM here at the Center. Wednesday, June 28, 2006 Call Youth Department to signup: 626-2115. All tickets: $16 Payment due at signup on Tuesday, June 1. All tickets are $16. Bus leaves Town Hall at 7:30 AM and returns 7:30 PM.

Summer Program
Starts July 10, 2006
You do not have to fall down a rabbit hole to enjoy the Community Center Summer Program…Just Signup!
Signup NOW for the 6-week program that runs July 10 - August 17, 2006, Monday-Thursday, 10 AM—1:00 PM. A $25 per week fee will be charged to cover supply costs and trips. Weeks 1,2,3 must be paid by Wednesday, June 28, and payments for weeks 4,5, 6 are due by Wednesday, July 19.
Trips planned: Ulster Landing, Roller Rink, Kelder’s Farm, Kinderland Park, Children’s Day Cruise and more! Entertainment lineup: Magic Show, Music with Andrew, a Wildlife handler and explorer, and so much more. Children need to bring one plain white tee shirt in their size, and two coffee cans.        
Sign up now for lots of fun and planned activities like crafts, games, storytelling, sports, fieldtrips and more! It’s a wonderland program, so don’t miss out; register now! Call 626-2115.
PS: If anyone has the following items to donate for the summer program we’d be much obliged! Items needed: baby food jars, different types and shaped jars for sand art projects. Nylon stocking, pantyhose, and calf length socks for sock puppets.
Do you know why no one wants to be “late” for our summer program? Because it’s magical, enchanting, astonishing, entertaining, never boring, all out fun! Yes, that’s all true, but it’s mainly because of Maryanne Gates, Elaine McDonough, Wendy Rooney, and Andrew Neidhart our summer program instructors, mixed with a terrific group of kids!

Lower Hudson Valley Challenger
Learning Center. Ages 10 and up.$25 per person, with a maximum of 20 children Reserve your seat by June 5 for the August 4, virtual Moon Mission. You are an astronaut and your mission will take place in the year 2015, where you’ll be returning to the Moon to stay. You will help find a landing spot, establish a self-sustaining settlement for future explorations. You will be working together as a crew to accomplish the tasks necessary for a successful landing, and solve emergencies that will pop up during the mission. Mission is at the Lower Hudson Valley Challenger Learning Center. Call Community Center at 626-2115. to register.

Our Policy:  No sign-ups for trips accepted on the answering machine. Please call the office or come in to sign-up. If you sign up for a trip, we will hold a seat for you unless you call and cancel. We will try to sell your ticket to someone on the waiting list. If your tickets cannot be sold, you are held responsible for payment, and you will not be reimbursed. Please be aware that trip goers must adhere to bus departure times for destinations so we can remain on schedule. Failure to do so will result in not being allowed to signup for future trips. Please Note that due to town policy, we must charge $15 for each returned check. Alcohol is prohibited on Youth Commission trips, programs, and activities.

The Town of Rochester Youth Department in conjunction with Kerhonkson Elementary School will be offering a before school program starting in September 2006, running from 6:45 am - 8:45 am, Monday thru Friday at the Kerhonkonson Elementary School. Breakfast will be available. The cost is $80 per month with siblings being discounted: second child at $40 per month, and $20 for third child. Advance monthly payment is due the 5th of each month, example: August 5th payment will cover September. The program will also follow the school calendar, delays, snow days, and school closings.

A minimum of 25 children is necessary to go forward with this worthy program. To ensure its success, please register by June 5 with the Youth Department! for registrations and/or information call the Youth Department at 626-2115. Applications will also be available through Kerhonkson Elementary School.
