The Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency will be holding a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday October 11, 2008.  This biannual event provides an opportunity for the residents of Ulster County to safely dispose of their hazardous pesticides, solvents, and household chemicals. The Agency will also be hosting an electronics recycling event on the same day.  

This event is for residents only. No businesses, farms, or institutions permitted.

When:
Saturday October 11, 2008
        8 am to 1 pm

Where:
999 Flatbush Ave. (near the intersection of Rte. 32 & 209/199)
        at the Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency

Only a $7.00 fee per carload for electronics
Limited to 5 computer monitors/TVs

Directions:   The transfer station is located on Airport Road, off of Route 209.  Leaving Main Street in Accord, turn right and proceed for about 1.5 miles north on Route 209.  Turn left onto Airport Road.  In less than a mile you will reach the transfer station on the right.  

Hours
        Open 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM Tuesday-Saturday (Scales close at 3:30 PM)
        The Transfer Station will also be open Mondays until Sept. 30, 2008

Permits
You must have a valid permit to use the Transfer Station.  The permit is for a calendar year; there is no prorating for purchase during the year.
        
2008 fees: Resident: $30.00, Non-Resident: $60.00
(Proof of residency is required.)       
Permits are available at the Town Clerk’s Office or at the Transfer Station.
