It is my pleasure to inform you that your own Town Clerk/Tax Collector Veronica Sommer has been elected First Vice President of the New York State Association of Tax Receivers & Collectors at their annual Tax Seminar held June 8-11, 2008 at the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls, NY.
The Association represents over 794 Villages, Towns, and School Tax Receivers and Collectors. The mission of the Association is continuing education of Receivers and Collectors, update on new and proposed legislation, and to help maintain the highest level of service and professionalism.
As you know ronnie was the founder and First President of the Ulster County Town Clerks and Tax Collectors Association in 1988. Ronnie was Town Clerk of the Year in 1998, chosen by her fellow town clerks and collectors.
