(There is a $5.00 per carload fee for electronics)
From 8:00am to 1:00PM

Town of Wawarsing Transfer Station

This collection provides a safe alternative for drop off of unwanted electronics, pesticides and other household chemicals. This event is for ULSTER COUNTY RESIDENTS ONLY. Waste from businesses, organizations and farms is not accepted.
Anyone interested in dropping-off household hazardous waste or electronics must call for an appointment.

__ Oil based paints, stains, and varnishes __Automotive products:
__ Paint thinner, solvents, and strippers - used oil filters
__ Lighter fluid - antifreeze, engine degreaser
__ Waste fuels: Kerosene, Gasoline - carburetor cleaner, brake fluid
__ Pesticides and insecticides - transmission fluid
__ Poisons, weed killers, mothballs - automotive batteries
__ Mercury, thermostats, thermometers __ Swimming pool chemicals
__ Hobby supplies, artist supplies __ Rubber cement, airplane glue
__ Photo chemicals, chemistry sets __ Furniture, floor, and metal polishes
__ Household Cleaners: Oven, toilet and drain cleaners __ Dry cleaning solvents and spot removers
__ Rug and upholstery cleaners __ Fluorescent bulbs
DO NOT BRING: ALTERNATIVE DISPOSAL OPTIONS:
1) Any empty container, including empty paint cans Used motor oil: Take to automotive service station
(Dispose of with your trash.) Auto batteries: Take to service station/recycling ctr
2) Waste in containers larger than 10 gallons Latex Paint: dry up by adding kitty litter.
3) Non-Hazardous products like laundry detergent Dry out latex adhesive, driveway & resins
4) Smoke detectors and radioactive materials
5) Explosives, ammunition or fireworks
6) Etiological, pathological, or medical wastes
7) Controlled Substances
8) Propane tanks (call your propane or fuel provider)
