The Accord Fire Company #1 Auxiliary is sponsoring a "Meet the Candidates" hour at 1:00 PM, Sunday, December 10 in the Social Hall on Main Street, Accord. This is being organized to acquaint you with the persons seeking office and give you an opportunity to ask them questions that may be on your mind. There should also be a time for you to discuss concerns with them as a group, or individually, following the Q&A period.
If anyone has questions, they would like the Auxiliary to present to the candidates for response, call Marie Blank at (845) 626-7938, before Saturday noon. You may leave a message on the answering machine or a local call back number, if Marie is not at home. Light refreshments will be served.
NOTE: The Accord Fire District will be holding the Commissioners' Election on Tuesday December 12 from 6-9 PM. The voting locations will be at the Fire District headquarters on Main Street, and at the Rochester #2 Fire House on Samsonville Road. Rochester residents, registered with Ulster County Board of Elections on or before November 20, 2006 are eligible to vote.
