Trips/Events/Programs
Youth Commission Office Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00AM  - 4:00 PM
Youth Center Hours:
Monday - Friday 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Children of all ages!
(Children under 7 require parent/guardian present.)
Our Policy:  No sign-ups for trips accepted on the answering machine. Please call the office or come in to sign-up. If you sign up for a trip, we will hold a seat for you unless you call and cancel. We will try to sell your ticket to someone on the waiting list. If your tickets cannot be sold, you are held responsible for payment, and you will not be reimbursed. Please be aware that trip goers must adhere to bus departure times for destinations so we can remain on schedule. Failure to do so will result in not being allowed to signup for future trips. Please Note that due to bank policy, we must charge $15 for each returned check. Alcohol is prohibited, on Youth Commission trips, programs, and activities.

Catskill Game Farm Friday, July 8. Tickets: $10 per person, (need 25 people for group rate). Bus leaves Town Hall 9 AM returns 6:30 PM. Bring a picnic lunch. Call Now!
Great Escape Friday July 15. Bus leaves Town Hall 7:30 AM and returns 7:30 PM. Pack a lunch, although you cannot bring it in the park, you can bring coolers on the bus. Signup now!

Zoom Flume Water Park
Thursday, July 21. Tickets: $18 for adults, and children 7 and under $14.  Bus leaves Town Hall at 9:00 AM and returns 7:00PM. Bring a picnic lunch, snacks, and drinks to leave in coolers on the bus. Signup NOW!
Children’s Day Cruise
Friday, August 12. Tickets are $10. Bus leaves Center at 1:15 PM, and returns at 5:15 PM.  Call Center to signup: 626-2115.
The Cruise has an interactive DJ, who gets kids dancing, playing games, and into contests, plus kids will be treated to a wonderful magic show.  Send a snack for the bus. No food or drinks can be brought on the ship, but can be purchased aboard. *Water is included in price for kids signed up through Summer Program.

Bronx Zoo Trip
Wednesday, August 31. All Tickets are $16. Bus leaves Town Hall 7:30 AM and returns 7:30 PM. Bring picnic lunch, snacks, and drinks in backpacks. Call NOW.

Summer Activities

Wednesday’s are Movie Nights at the center
7:00PM – 9:00 PM - $3.00 per person.
Admission price includes a hot dog, and soda. Must call to signup, and get age-appropriate information, as there will be “G” movie nights, PG movie nights, and PG13, movie nights. Movie Dates: Wednesday’s, June 29, July 6, 13, 20, 27, and August 3, 10, 17.

Give your child a magical summer by sending them to our six-week summer program Sign-up NOW! 6-week Program Runs July 11, 2005 - August 19, 2005, Monday-Thursday, 10AM—1:00 PM. Ages five and up. A $15 per week fee will be charged for materials and supplies. Sign up for one week or all six. Lots of fun and activities planned like crafts, games, storytelling, sports, fieldtrips and more! It’s an enchanted program so don’t miss out. Call: 626-2115.

Hey Kids, Want a Summer Job? Signup for Rent-A-Kid: To signup for Rent-A-Kid, please call the Center at 626-2115.

Love to play
Baseball? Want to improve while having fun? Then, it’s time to signup for summer baseball. Ages 9 to 12 years old. Youth Summer League at Accord Town Park starting July 18 through July 30,  Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 12 Noon. Bring a snack and drink. Instructor Jim Wegrzyn.  Sign-up Now. Registration fee: $10 for the entire two weeks.
*There will also be a program for ages 6,7, and 8 August 8 – 12, Monday – Friday, 9AM -Noon.
Little Ones Learning Center
This valuable community resource is dedicated to promoting early literacy and book lending for your children and their families in The Rondout Valley area. Please support them.

Saturday mornings: 10 AM – Noon for all ages.

They Happen Weekly
Seniors this is for youMake your Tuesdays one of the best days of the week, by joining, our Senior Group. It’s fun, and lots of laughs. They meet every Tuesday morning at 10:30, followed by (optional) Yoga at Noon. Followed by, you guessed it, lunch at a local restaurant.

CPR Training: Kids from the After School Program learned how to save a life! Thanks go out to Marge Carroll for making this very important learning experience, fun!

Thank you too, to Bethany Alongi,, a BOCES Cosmetology student for donating her skills to our after school program, and our Tuesday Senior group. She’s promised to return to do manicures.  And,

Thanks as well to Karen McCarthy, a Mary Kay Sales Director, who gave free lessons on doing facials, and applying makeup to our after school kids.  Everyone was so glamorous!

Parents & Kids: Remember, we now have a Kerhonkson Elementary bus Rt. 13 that comes to the Youth Center every afternoon.

Talent Show
We’re looking for local talented kids for a Youth Commission talent show to be held in con-junction with the Kerhonk-son/Accord Chamber Of Commerce for the Jennie Bell Pie Festival on Saturday, October 1, at Kelder’s Farm. Prize money is under-written By Kerhonkson Key Bank
Kids up to age 18, come show off your, talents, and you could become this year’s  “Area Idol!” Call the Center for an application, and information.
