Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Code, and Map Task Force
January 12, 2009
Meeting Notes

The meeting began at 7:00 PM at Town Hall.

Attending:~Mike Baden, Imre Beke Jr., , Gerry Fornino, Frank Kortright Jr.,  David O’Halloran, Diana Puglisi-Cilenti, Robert Rominger, and Martha Tardibuono
Code Consultant: Tom Shepstone
Ex-Officio members: Becky Paddock-Stange and Kristin Marcell

Absent: Jeff Davis and Alonzo Grace

Chair O’Halloran opened the meeting.

Announcements:
·       Chair O’ Halloran announced new meeting dates of March 2, 16, and 23

Discussion:
·       The committee reviewed the draft Subdivision Law.
·       The committee briefly began review of the draft Zoning Law

Results as follows:     
Subdivision
·       125-5A  Wording changed from may to shall
·       125-11  Definition for driveway altered to allow for 3 lots in the case of a flag lot
·       125-11  Definition of Pavement wording changed from Law to specifications
·       125-11  Private Driveway deleted from definitions
·       125-11  Definition added for Flag Lot
·       125-11  Definition added for Open Space
·        125-11 Definition altered for Private Road to allow for 3 lots in the case of a flag lot
·       125-21G Wording altered to reflect intent of section as to building within a flood plain
·       125-22B (now A) Design Standards        Word Conservation deleted
·       125-22B5        moved up to section 2 and remaining renumbered
·       125-22B8        altered to say identified by agencies as containing rare or endangered plants or animals
·       125-22B9        Planning Board may require mitigation of impacts
·       125-22C Conservation Subdivision                To become own section 125-23
·        125-22C4       Density bonus raised to 40%
·       125-22D-M       To be relettered
·       125-22D eliminate 1 acre buildable land requirement
·       125-22L changed to add 3 lots in the case of flag lots. Changed private drive wording to driveway
·       125-27B3        remains as written
·       125-28A9        Open Development eliminated from text
·       125-28F alleys changed to maximum of 25’ width
·       125-28R changed to reflect 3 lots in the case of flag lots
·       125-29  section deleted

Zoning Text
·       140-7B          remains as written
·       140-9B          deleted

Meeting was adjourned at 9 PM
