Meeting Notes

The meeting began at 7:00 PM at Town Hall.

Attending:      
Code Consultant: Tom Shepstone
Task Force Members: Mike Baden, Imre Beke Jr., Gerry Fornino, Frank Kortright Jr., David O’Halloran, Diana Puglisi-Cilenti, Robert Rominger, Martha Tardibuono
Ex-Officio members: Kristin Marcell, Becky Paddock-Stange

Absent: Jeff Davis and Alonzo Grace

Chair O’Halloran opened the meeting.

Announcements:
Chair O’Halloran handed out copies of the DRAFT Subdivision Code from the previous Task Force. This draft will be the basis for the beginnings of our discussion at the next meeting.

Discussion:
Schedule of Use matrix was discussed with results as follows:
·       eliminated “airports” and added grass airstrips as a special use in the AB-3 district
·       added helicopter pads as a Special Use in AR-3 and AB-3 districts
·       increased lot coverage in AB-3 district to 35 percent for nonresidential uses
·       added “private educational facilities” as a special use in the AB-3 district
·       added “education and conference center” as a special use in the R-5 district
·       determined accessory apartment needs to be defined clearly
·       increased permitted lot coverage in the Hamlet to 50%, Industrial to 50% for non-residential use, and Business to 50%
·       reviewed multi-family housing, determining that it is proposed as an allowed use in the R-1, Hamlet, and Business districts, as well as in the R-5 district as a “Planned Unit Development

Meeting was adjourned at 9:00 PM
