Discussion:
Map discussion continued with a discussion regarding I and NR zones.
Results as follows:
· Several parcels on Samsonville Rd. (near Peppertree and Rod & Gun Club) added to I district to create a 6 parcel I Zone
· Parcels on Samsonville Rd. and Mettacahonts Rd. designated as I by previous Task Force discussed and retained as I Zone properties
· Old Mine Rd. I Zone discussed with one parcel added and one parcel deleted from I Zone designation
· Rochester Center Rd. area received a long discussion. Result is existing mining properties designated as NR Zone. Remaining parcels designated as I Zone by previous Task Force retained as I Zone. Three parcels in that area also changed to I Zone from R-2.
· Other existing mining properties on Boodle Hole Rd. and Queens Hwy. designated as NR Zone.
· Area on Kyserike Rd. near William’s Lumber was discussed as possible I Zone. No changes were made.
(Topic needs further discussion as it was discovered after the meeting this area is currently in an I Zone. Exact parcels currently zoned I were unable to be determined from the map and will be determined after consultation with Zoning Office and Town Clerk)
· Area near Friedlander Dr. on Samsonville Rd. discussed as possible I Zone. To be reviewed at next meeting.
· It was discussed and voted on by members to include a PID possibility for all properties in the NR Zone when the text of the Zoning Law is addressed.
· Residential and Mixed Uses were added as Special Use possibilities in the I Zoning District.
As the Task Force moved across the map a number of R-5 areas were also determined to be in need of reviewed due to the previous Task Force calling the R-5 Zone the RC Zone and it being zoned 3 acres (now changed to 5 acres). The next meeting will focus on review of the White (R-5) map areas.
