Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Code, and Map Task Force
May 19, 2008
Meeting Notes

The meeting began at 7:00 PM at Town Hall.

Attending were  
Code Consultant: Tom Shepstone
Task Force Members: Mike Baden, Jeff Davis, Gerry Fornino, Alonzo Grace, Frank Kortright Jr., David O’Halloran, Diana Puglisi-Cilenti, Robert Rominger
Ex-Officio members: Becky Paddock-Stange, Brenda Striano

Absent: Imre Beke Jr. and Martha Tardibuono

Chair David O’Halloran opened the meeting.
Handouts were distributed.      
1) 3 sets of comments from UCPB on previous code submissions
2) A summary of the total of landowners who submitted letters of protest to past code submission
3) A map packet showing various maps highlighting natural features of the town.

Proposed zoning designation uses table was discussed. Zones R-3, R-2, R-5, and H were fully discussed with some uses added, moved, or deleted from the tables.
It was discussed that possibly some of the old CF zoned properties (new R-3) might become R-5 or R-2 when the map is reviewed at a later date.
Topics which gathered the most discussion included mining/farm mining, commercial recreational uses, home occupations, farmstands/agricultural retail sales, and accessory apartments.
It was decided that these items be notated to merit further discussion and review when the text of the document and definitions are reviewed.

Next meeting will continue the discussion of use tables.
