Rochester Residents - By now, you all know that we have suffered major damages from the recent flood. Although we are still in the process of dealing with the immediate effects of the storm, I wanted to forward to everyone the message which I received from Art Snyder, Director of Emergency Communications/Emergency Management .
"I realize that we are still in the response mode to this disaster, but we must begin planning for the recovery phase. There has been enormous damage to public infrastructure as well as to businesses and private homes. We must begin the process of tabulating the cost.
Please document all damages to roads, bridges, and public facilities....It is important to document damages so that the municipalities, businesses and residents can apply for financial assistance. I will be in touch with you in the next day or so to follow up on this process. In the meantime, you may use the attached form to log damage to homes and businesses. "
The form indicated in the above note, is available by clicking on Flood Damage Claim Form. If you have suffered damage from the recent distaster, please fill in the form and send it to the indicated address. This form is being distributed in a variety of ways, and if you have already received one, you do not need to fill this out again.
