The Rondout Valley Growers Association is a non-profit community organization comprised of local farmers, residents, and businesses that are committed to strengthening the region's family farms and preserving open space for future generations.

The mission of the Rondout Valley Business Association is to improve the economic health and general well-being of the greater Rondout Valley area by promoting local businesses and stimulation tourism, attracting new businesses to the area, and providing services, support and representation to both the business community and the community as a whole. We seek to enhance economic opportunities for local residents while preserving our cultural, historic and natural assets, and to further a regional vision through collaboration with community partners throughout the Rondout Valley.
Membership benefits
1. Health Insurance - Members are eligible for group health insurance through the association at competitive rates.
2. Business Directory - The association prints a local business to business directory. This directory is distributed throughout the greater Rondout area.
3. Visibility in the community - Through community service and outreach, our association members are recognized as community leaders and contributors.
4. Networking with other businesses - Through meetings and association activities, members learn about each other's business and refer customers to each other on a consistent basis.

Meetings are scheduled for the third Thursday of each month and generaly take place at a local restaurant. The atmosphere is casual and a complete dinner is offered at an affordable price.

is an all-volunteer organization which is dedicated to preserving and promoting the historic heritage of the Town of Rochester. The Museum at 12 Main Street, Accord is the center of our activities. The Museum is open at other times during spring, summer, and fall for programs, research, genealogical consultations, etc.
The hours for genealogical research are Wednesdays from 12 noon to 3 p.m.  Richard Rider is there to assist in the research with access to extensive resources including the Eleanor Rosakranse Genealogical Collection, many family reports compiled from the internet, and ongoing internet access.  For an appointment with Richard Rider, please call him at 845-339-6666.
Anyone is welcome as a member of FHR. Basic annual dues are $20 which includes a subscription to our quarterly publication on local history, The Accordian. FHR sponsors two annual events; History Day on the second Saturday in May, and Fall Festival Tours on the first Saturday in October. The Little Ones Learning Center (LOLC)

is an early literacy program for children from birth to early elementary age.  Sponsored by the non-profit organization, Friends of Little Ones Inc., the Little Ones Learning Center is located inside the Rochester Reformed Church at 5142 Route 209, Accord. The program is free; all children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.  LOLC provides an educational resource for parents and small children and access to over 2,000 pre-school books.

Program hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 10-12 noon for stories, songs, crafts, and playtime on the ground floor of the Rochester Reformed Church.  Special programs during the year include:  Truck Day, Story Time at Kelder’s Farm, Harvest Time at Stone Ridge Orchard, and Bedtime with Books. LOLC is funded in part by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services via Ulster County DSS/Youth Bureau Division and the Ulster County Legislature; the NYS Legislature via assemblyman Clifford Crouch (107th District); Town of Rochester; Stewart’s Shops; The Revenue Markets, Inc.; local community groups such as the Lions, Lionesses, Youth Commission, Senior Groups, and generous fun-loving neighbors such as yourselves.

The Little Ones Learning Center has been offered a challenge grant of $1,000 from a local family. They will match, dollar for dollar, all monies donated up to $1,000.  The Little Ones Learning Center is a program sponsored by Friends of Little Ones Inc., a not-for-profit organization. The Little Ones Learning Center is a free early literacy program designed for children from 0-6 years of age in and around the Rondout Valley School District - primarily the Accord-Kerhonkson area. Our mission is to provide developmentally appropriate language and early literacy experiences with caring adults.  We work to establish and enhance literacy rich environments in homes to help parents/caregivers support early childhood development and readiness for school. Over 3,000 books are available for borrowing for parents to continue literacy experiences at home.  Three themed programs are held weekly, Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday from 10AM to noon, with stories, crafts, music, and free time to use many of the puppets, puzzles and manipulatives available.The program is held at the Rochester Reformed Church, Accord. Formed in late 2000, the Rochester Residents Association has grown into an organization with several hundred members, most of whom stay connected through e-mail and the internet.  The non-partisan not-for-profit association's goal is to create a public forum to discuss ways to protect the natural beauty, open spaces and small town way of life that makes the Accord, Kerhonkson, High Falls and the other hamlets in Rochester an attractive place to live. The Indian Valley Little League is located on Rte 209 in Kerhonkson. Board meetings are held the third Monday of every month at the Accord Firehouse beginning at 7 PM. Children ages 5 - 18 are eligible to play. (9 - 18 is our softball program, 5 - 12 is our baseball program, beginning with T-Ball). League President is Ron Naccarato, Vice President Howie Baul, Player Agent Mike Redmond and Information Officer Sherry Ellsworth. Other board members are: John Ellsworth, Christina VanDemark, Lisa Golden, Tina Purcell, Joanne Secor, Jim Secor and Randy Hornbeck. All of our board members, coaches, score keepers and umpires are volunteers.
We are always looking for enthusiastic parents to help with the league. We need help with clean up, concession stands, coaching, umpiring and score keeping.
